Content Warnings

Content warnings (aka trigger warnings) are provided for people who might need them. If you prefer to read a book without possible spoilery info, go ahead and skip this bit. But if you need to protect yourself from certain kinds of content, please read. This is for you.

Retribution

Content Warnings

  • Brief mention of magical misogynistic practices

  • Brief mention of miscarriage (in a broad sense as a complication of magic – no character, main or side, experiences this)

  • Exposure of genitals (brief, not in a sexual context)

  • Graphic description of injuries including broken bones, cuts, sprains, burns, maiming, and more

  • Grief regarding various losses, including parents, friends, spouses, and siblings. (This topic is explored a lot, because everyone lost someone in the previous book)

  • Infection/putrefaction

  • Insinuated assault (never shown, not on page)

  • Severed body part

  • Torture

  • Vomit/puking (as a consequence of magic)

Important note: I intend to never include on-page SA nor the aftereffects of it. There may be threats, but never beyond that. While it may be briefly mentioned as backstory for a side character, no main characters will experience this in my books. The real world is harsh enough in that aspect, and it’s something I just prefer to keep out of my stories.
